Digital dentures are an alternative to conventional fabrication. The process uses a digital scan, computer-aided design and 3D printing, then hand finishing in our lab. For cases that suit it, the workflow can mean fewer appointments than the conventional route.

The part that matters years later

Once your denture has been designed digitally, the design is kept as a file, and that file is the real difference. If your denture is lost, dropped down a drain or damaged beyond repair, a replacement starts from your existing design rather than from nothing. It does not make a replacement free or instant, and your mouth may have changed enough that the design needs updating, but it is a better position than a blank page.

Whether it suits you

Digital is not automatically the right answer for every mouth. Some cases still call for conventional impressions and some are better served by a mix of both. If you already wear dentures

Bring them in. In many cases an existing set can be scanned, which gives us a starting point for a replacement that keeps what you already like about how they look and feel. As with any denture, expect a settling-in period and adjustment visits, and expect the fit to need attention over the years.
